Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab is responsible for the organisation and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, response and recovery in order to lessen the impact of disasters. It provides leadership for the development of regional disaster and crises management policies and program approaches, with a focus on disseminating the principles and rules for Humanitarian Assistance, supporting the process of strengthening movement coordination and cooperation.

 

 

Dr.Khurram Shahzad
Director (PDMA)
Maters in Public Administration

Dr. Khurram Shahzad did his MBBS from King Edward Medical College, Lahore. Later on he did his Maters in Public Administration from Punjab University Lahore and MS in Health, Population and Society from London School of Economics, UK. He joined civil services and has been working as a civil administrator in different capacities. He has worked as Deputy Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab, Deputy Secretary (Administration) in C&W Department, Forest Department and as Deputy Secretary (Police) in Home Department, Government of the Punjab. He has also served as General Manager, NFML in Ministry of Industries, Government of Pakistan. He is also the alumni of US States Department (IVLP) and LSE, Civil Service, Government and Public Policy. His areas of interest are, Health Sector Reforms, Disaster Risk Reduction and Community Based Disaster Risk Management. He is currently serving as Director PDMA Punjab.

         

 

Muhammad Sajjad
Director (Operations & Implementation)
Bachelor of Arts

He is working as Director (Operations & Implementation) at PDMA Punjab and looks after all the operations related to relief efforts. He collects and prepares all the disaster plans and manages compensation given to the people who have lost their lives and livelihood due to natural disasters.

 

         

 

Malik Muhammad Rafique Sobhi

He is working as Director Technical at PDMA Punjab.He is responsible to make sure that the technical resourses of the organization are functional,maintained and safe.

     

 
Imran Khan Mughal

Mr. Imran Mughal did his M. Com from Bahaudin Zakariya University, Multan in 1999. He joined Department of the Auditor General of Pakistan in July, 2001. He also served in Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Lahore as Deputy Director, Finance on deputation basis. He is currently serving in PDMA, Punjab as Senior Accouts Officer on deputation basis.

     
 
Muhammad Muzammal Bashir

He served in Health and Agriculture department as Provincial Secretariat Lahore. He also worked as DMO Bahawalpur, DG khan, Lodhra in Punjab Education Secretariat. Joined PDMA as Procurement Officer and deal with procurement of emergancey relief goods and equipment for urget need  of the people affected by natural calamities.

Assistant Director (Admin & Finance) PDMA Punjab - Zafar Haider Shamsee is responsible for administrative systems & procedures by analyzing operating practices, studying utilization of resources and software technologies, evaluating personnel and technological requirements.

As Assistant Director (Technical) Tahir Iqbal is responsible for development of evaluation criteria for projects, inspection of river embankments, coordination and liaison with army authorities.

Hameed Ullah Malik

He is associated with PDMA as Provincial Coordinator (CDCP, commonly known as Watan Card Program). He is looking after the entire compensation program, and is coordinating all key stakeholders at District, Provincial and National Level.Now he is working as Project Director in PIU- PDMA.

He started his career as Deputy Secretary (R & C) in Board of Revenue Punjab. As Assistant Director (Coordination & Response) he provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, policies. He maintains administrative workflow by developing reporting procedures, monitoring administrative projects.
